Once your new laboratory is installed, tested and validated, we’ll partner with you to ensure the ongoing safety and maintenance of your lab. Our service and maintenance services include service contracts, annual performance testing of fume cupboard, maintaining LEV systems and gas systems. We’ll discuss your ongoing requirements at the point of consultation.
Service & Maintenance
We provide comprehensive service contracts to cover a wide range of facilities, laboratory equipment and systems. Our BOHS P601 qualified engineers provide thorough examination and tests of LEV systems, containment testing of fume cupboards, and validations of cleanrooms and containment laboratories. Our laboratory service and maintenance contracts cover:
- Fume cupboards
- LEV systems including enclosures, extract arms etc
- Biological safety cabinets
- Laminar flow cabinets
- Fumigation using hydrogen peroxide and formaldehyde
- Chemical storage cupboards including 90-minute fire rated storage

- HSG258 – A guide to local exhaust ventilation (LEV)
- BS EN 14175 – fume cupboards
- BS 7989 – recirculating fume cabinets
- CLEAPSS Guide G9 – educational fume cupboards
- BS EN 12469 – biological safety cabinets
- ISO 14644 – cleanrooms and associated controlled environments
- ACDP – advisory committee on dangerous pathogens (CL2/CL3 labs)
